An Indonesian army transport plane with more than 100 people aboard has crashed into houses on Java, killing¹ at least 57 people.

Air force spokesman Bambang Sulistyo said the C-130 Hercules had been on a routine training mission, and was carrying at least 109 passengers and crew.
