On the phone 在电话上】

 

phone搭配的动词包括answer, speak on ,talk on。要注意phone之前要有定冠词the接听电话answer the phone绝不可误用receive, speak/talk on the phone在电话中讲话。而你的电话在英文里绝非your telephone,应说It's for youYou are wanted on the phone

 

A:  Janet, you are wanted on the phone.

B:  I'm sorry. I Just can't answer the phone right now.
