     BERLIN, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Borussia Monchengladbach carved out a 2-1 win on aggregate1 against second-division team Bochum to stay in the first division thanks to a late equalizer by striker Marco Reus on Wednesday.

    The "Fohlen" smoothed the way for first division already at the first leg last week due to the controversial goal by Monchengladbach joker striker Igor De Camargo before the final whistle.

    Bochum remained battered5 and unable to fight back so that Monchengladbach sealed continuance in first division after a disastrous6 season with 16th position.
    "We have deserved to stay in first division. With the late winner at first leg we smoothed the victory at the play off," Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre said.
