 　　WELLINGTON, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida will discuss bilateral1 cooperation in trade and regional issues when he visits New Zealand this weekend, New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully said Friday.

　　Kishida's visit would be the first by a Cabinet minister in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's government, which came into power in late 2012, said McCully.
　　Japan's participation2 in the 11-nation Trans Pacific Partnership3 trade negotiations4 had opened a new chapter in the bilateral relationship, McCully said in a statement.
　　"I look forward to discussions with Mr. Kishida on how we can strengthen our cooperation, both bilaterally5 and in the wider region," he said.
　　Kishida would also meet Trade Minister Tim Groser.
