　　In their 20s, they have come to Beijing to pursue their dreams. They are called "ant tribe" by Lian Si, who has written a book with the same name based on his interviews of these people.
　　他们在二十几岁的青春时节来到北京追求梦想。廉思对这部分人群进行了采访，并著以同名书籍《蚁族》。
　　文中的ant tribe就是指“蚁族”，指的是收入微薄，白天从事不稳定工作，晚上聚居于outskirt(市郊)的城乡结合部民房的北漂大学毕业生。他们和蚂蚁有许多类似的特点：高智、弱小、群居，因此被称为“蚁族”。目前，大部分ant tribe蜗居在North Fifth Ring Road(北五环)路外的settlement villages for college students(大学毕业生聚居村)唐家岭。他们甚至省下过年的车费，一起吃Lunar New Year dinner(年夜饭)。
　　与ant tribe不同，the NEET group(啃老族)不升学，不就业，终日无所事事。而有些已就业的年轻人，却变成了moonlight clan(月光族)或者the working poor(穷忙族)。为锻炼身体，一些上班族放弃了交通工具，加入walking commuters(走班族)的大军，但他们可不一定是cool carls(酷抠族，拥有高学历、较高收入，精打细算过日子的人群)。
　　如今的快节奏时代，很多年轻人成为flash marriage group(闪婚族)或flash cohabitants(闪居族)的一员。但可不是人人都想往快节奏的生活，slow walkers(慢活族)的生活方式也受到追捧。为了追求个人发展，一些在国内已取得不俗业绩的人们毅然放弃工作，成为the flying fish(飞鱼族，指在国内已取得不俗成绩，但毅然放下一切，到国外名校求学的特殊中国群体)。网络流行无处不在，flash mob(快闪族)也成为一种新的时尚。
