I’m Anderson Cooper. Thanks for watching 360 podcast. All the latest, the school shooting in Colorado gets started.

Break news tonight: a 15 year old girl was critically wounded fighting for her life tonight after fellow students opened fire at Arapahoe high school in Centennial Colorado. The gunman, who is apparently1 targeting a teacher at least, is early reported as dead. The police say he took his own life. They also say they found two molotol cocktails2 and the ingredients and images are so familiar by now. The outcome is fortunately a great less deadly than in… and Sandy hook.

More now from Ana Cabrera.
At 12:33p.m., police say a lone3 gunman entered the west side of the Arapahoe high school in Centennial Colorado armed with a short gun. A gunman, believed to be a student of the high school, began asking for a male faculty4 member. That person was alerted and left the school immediately. A school janitor5 says he saw a student running around dressed in tactical gear.
Well, I was turning the corner when I saw a kid running into the building, on the north side of the building. He was kind of running side to side, kind of military, kind of style when I saw that. I double looked to see if there was a gun. It was a short gun. So right away, I got on the radio to alert everyone and staff. And when he went in and that’s when I just heard the shots. I heard the loud shots.
A student was shot when in the facility of the shooter. That student who has not been identified was in serious condition. Two other students stayed in injuries.
Whitney Rally was with other students inside her 9th grade classroom. We were having fun and laughing and all of a sudden we heard a really loud bing. And my teacher asked what it was and then two more. And we all just got up and screamed and then ran into a …room
Our teacher are trying to calm us down and a couple of people are crying and we are just all in a moment can’t really think. We didn’t really know it was a gun shot. But we heard the repetition. So we just thought it might as well take a …and we turned off the lights and locked the door so that they can’t get in.

Within 14 minutes of the shooting, law enforcement entered the school looking for the shooter.
While we are securing the school and ensuring the safety of the students and staff in that school, we located the individual that what we believe to be the suspect and the active shooter. That individual is currently deceased and he apparently killed himself.

Law enforcement say they slowly and methodically searched the school before allowing the students to leave the safety of their classrooms. We wanted to ensure that all of our students, no.1, are safe; and secondly6 we wanted to ensure that we have no other suspects or individuals that were collaborators with our shooter.

At about 1:30 pm, students began exiting the school. Single fire, arms raised in the air, gathering7 at the school’s running track into the arms of their parents who rushed to school after hearing reports of the shooting.

Frantic8, it’s horrible, super nervous, driving down here trying to get through here as fast as you can. So everything is ok.
