　　When she got up and searched around for the source of the stench, she realized that she had wedged her charging phone under her pillow.
　　And not only was the backside of the pillow scorched2, but the phone was fried into an unrecognizable slab3 of plastic and melted components4. The event left the family a bit surprised.
　　The girl's father said they have a reasonable expectation that the products they buy are going to be safe. He told local media that he suspects the phone overheated, causing the battery to swell5 and start a fire.
