Finally, if you’re not already convinced, pipes and cigars can be just as addictive3 as cigarettes. After all, you’re still smoking tobacco laced with nicotine4. And even if you don’t inhale5 deeply, the nicotine still seeps6 into your bloodstream through the lining7 of the mouth. So bottom line, smoking tobacco is bad for you–period. Just because pipes and cigars may seem urbane8, there’s nothing harmless about them.
