(单词翻译)
a SLIP of the TONGUE If you are walking across fresh ice in winter, or maybe walking on a tile1 floor just after it's been cleaned, you know how easy it is to slip and fall. You can hurt yourself, and that can be embarrassing, too. Similarly, when we say the wrong thing at the wrong moment, we can also hurt ourselves socially, and that can be embarrassing as well. For that reason, we call saying the wrong thing "a slip of the tongue." It's as if you had no intention to say that wrong thing, but your tongue "slipped" like a clumsy ice skater and the wrong words fell out of your mouth. An example would be a woman calling her new boyfriend but speaking her old boyfriend's name. Another example would be saying that you hate studying science, and then you realize that the person next to you is a science teacher.
