5．Are You New In this Class 你刚到这个班上吗 

 

A: Hi. Are you new in this class? 

B: Yes, I am. I really don’t know anyone¹. 

A: Did² you just arrive in this country? You look a little nervous³. 

B: No. I was⁴ here last semester⁵, but I didn’t find out about this class in time. So I’m taking it this semester. 

A: I took⁶ this course⁷ last semester too. Now I am taking it again! 

B: How is it? Did you learn anything here? Why are you taking it again?

A: Wow, you have a lot of questions! I learned⁸ a lot. In fact⁹, that’s why I am taking it again. I get lots of practice¹⁰ in speaking, and also in writing¹¹. I’m sure you’ll be glad you took this course. I’ll even¹² help you study if you’d like. 

B: That’s just what I need. Thanks so much. You’ve been a big help already¹³.
