Luckily, there is an easy fix. You can ask Google to blur³ out images of your place. Here’s how you do it. First, open up Google Maps and put in your home address. In ‘street view,’ navigate⁴ to the scene you want blurred⁵ out. Next, hit the ”Report a problem” button in the lower-right corner. Then, go through the images and choose the parts you want blurred out.

 

Google does not release data on what percent of requests are accepted but it appears that most are.. There are also similar solutions for other map providers like Yahoo and Bing.
