After the unveiling ceremony, famous Qin performer Deng Hong played beautiful classical Chinese music and Long Lian performed on a Xiao instrument. 

The delegates also had a visit to the ongoing² exhibition of Chinese impressionist paintings at the cultural center. 

Tomas Lindman, Head of International Affairs for the Ministry³ of Culture in Sweden sees the establishment of the center as very positive. 

" We have already had good cooperation between our two countries. The center will develop it even further within the framework of an open dialogue between Sweden and China."

Annika Rembe from The Swedish Institute said this is a very important event.

"I think it will be a good platform for exchanging views, and conducting constructive⁴ dialogue, sharing our different societies and also culture. And I think it is beautiful building, a very interesting exhibition, and I am very much looking forward to see how the center will function in the future, to see what kind of events they will have, and what kinds of meetings they have together. "

According to Pu Zhengdong, Director of Stockholm Chinese Cultural Center, the center will hold art exhibitions, concerts, performances and seminars to exchange ideas. It opens to all friends who are interested in Chinese culture. 

About 200 people including dignitaries from 50 embassies in Stockholm and representatives from both Swedish and Chinese communities participated in the opening ceremony.
