She cried when she was unhappy and laughed when she was glad. 不开心时会哭，开心时会笑。
I am pleased to say, though, that she always laughed much more often than she cried. 不过我要高兴地说，她笑的时候要比哭的时候多。
As for Marigold, she got her bag of gold from the king. 至于玛丽戈尔德，她从国王那拿到了那袋金子。
With the money she bought good food, and her mother soon became well and strong again. 她用这些钱买了些营养品，很快她的妈妈就好了起来。
The king and queen often invited Marigold to come to the palace and play with their daughter. 国王和王后也经常邀请玛丽戈尔德来王宫和他们的女儿玩耍。
They all grew to love her very much because she was always kind and good and merry. 他们都慢慢地喜欢上了她，因为她总是那么友好、那么善良和快乐。
