　　summarize既可作及物动词，又可作不及物动词，表示"总结，概括"相当于recap。如 Philosophy is the scientific knowledge that summarizes the nature and society. (哲学是关于自然和社会知识总结、概括的一门学科。), I tell you the general terms, and then let the chairman summarize. (我给你们讲一讲大致情况，然后请主席作总结性发言。)
