Rapturous applause3 for India's now Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. 

However, look closely4 and you'll see it's not really him, but a hologram. 

With 800 million voters to reach, the technology allowed him to address audiences in different places at the same time on the campaign trail. 

Now, the company behind this kit5 is looking at new ways of using it. 

They hope ideas like this 3D yoga instructor6 could stretch the limits of the technology.
