On the programme this week Business Scotland looks at the bitter boardroom battle at the Dundee investment house Alliance Trust. It's under attack from Elliott Advisors1, a US investor2. Elliott says Alliance's chief executive, Katherine Garrett-Cox, has been regularly overpaid for poor financial performance. Alliance has hit back saying it performs well in comparison to its peers and has accused Elliott of short-termism. Business Scotland hears from both sides. The UK Shareholders3 Association tells the programme of its campaign to get more rights. And it speaks to one of Scotland's most experienced businessman, Lord Smith about his role in the boardroom of some of the country's biggest companies.
