The NOAA hurricane seasonal1 outlook for the East Coast of the U.S. is out, and it predicts:

(Dr. Sullivan) "Eight to 13 storms, three to six developing to hurricane. One to two of those becoming major hurricanes. These ranges are near or below the seasonal averages."

Due to el Nino impacting the Atlantic weather systems. But NOAA's Chief, Dr. Kathy Sullivan, says it doesn't really matter how many storms actually form:
