President Obama left no doubt who was behind the email hacking¹ of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, telling reporters he confronted Russian President Vladimir Putin about it in September.

In a year-end news conference, the President stopped short of saying the leaked emails tipped the scales for President-elect Trump³, adding there is no evidence of tampering with ballots⁴ or voting machines.
