On Friday, according to the state's Governor Jerry Brown, one of the worst droughts in California's history has officially ended.

Thanks to months of drenching¹ storms and melting snowpack, Brown has lifted most stipulations of an emergency order he implemented² back in January 2014.

In a statement, the Democratic Brown said, "This drought emergency is over, but the next drought could be around the corner. Conservation must remain a way of life."
