Marijuana is known for having many effects on the body but one of the most interesting effects is definitely what people call "the munchies," those late night cravings for snacks and all kinds of good food.

According to a Yale study, smoking marijuana created an interference with a special group of cells called POMC neurons that regulate when you are full or not.

The THC in marijuana speeds up these neurons but it also produces endorphins, confusing the hypothalamus and increasing your appetite.
