生活

Life isn't about keeping score.

It's not about how many friends you have or how accepted you are.

Not about if you have plans this weekend or if you're alone.

It isn't about who you're dating, who you used to date, how many people you've dated, or if

you haven't been with anyone at all.

It isn't about who you have kissed.

It's not about sex.

It isn't about who your family is or how much money they have.

Or what kind of car you drive.

Or where you are sent to school.

It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are.

Or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on, or what kind of music you listen to.

It's not about if your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown or if your skin is too light or too

dark.

Not about what grades you get, how smart you are, how smart everybody else thinks you are,

or how smart standardized¹ tests say you are.

It's not about representing your whole-being on a piece of paper and seeing who will

“accept the written you”. Life just isn't.

But, life is about who you love and who you hurt.

It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposefully .

It's about keeping or betraying trust.

It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or a weapon.

It's about what you say and what you mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening .

It's about starting rumors² and contributing to petty gossip.

It's about what judgments⁴ you pass and why. And who your judgment³ are spread to.

It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention.

It's about jealousy⁵, fear, ignorance, and revenge.

It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow, and spreading it.

But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's hearts in such a

way that could have never occured alone.

Only you choose the way those hearts are affected⁶, and those choices are what life's all about.

它不是关于你在与谁约会，你曾经与谁约会，你与多少人约过会或者你没有与任何人

它不是关于你的家人是谁，你家有多少钱。

或者，你开的是什么车。

或者，把你送到哪里上学。

它不是关于你的长相美或丑。

或者你穿什么衣服，穿什么鞋子，或者你听什么音乐。

它不是关于你的头发是金色、红色、黑色还是棕色，或者你的肤色是太浅或太深。

它不是关于你获得什么成绩，你有多聪明，别人认为你有多么聪明，或者标准测试说

你有多么聪明。

它不是把你各方面的情况写在一张纸上，然后看谁会“接受书面上的你”。生活不是那

么回事。

但是，生活是关于你爱谁和伤害了谁。

它是关于你有意使谁快乐或使谁痛苦。

它是关于遵守诺言还是背信弃义。

它是关于把友谊当作神圣的感情，还是当作武器。

它是关于你说的话和你话中的意图，使人痛苦还是使人振奋。

它是关于散布谣言，制造谈资。

它是关于你做出什么样的判断，为什么做这个判断，你的判断涉及谁。

它是关于你带着绝对的控制和意图忽视了谁。

它是关于嫉妒、畏惧，无知和报复。

它是关于内心深处的爱和恨，让其生长，并传播开去。

但是，最重要的是，它是关于你的生活使他人的心灵受到感动还是受到毒害，而这两

种情况绝对不可能单独发生。

只要你选择了感动他人的心灵，那些选择便是生活的全部。
