The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommends that adults ages 60 and older get vaccinated¹ against shingles². The painful blisters³ of the disease, caused by the same virus as chickenpox, can lead to permanent nerve damage. Now, doctors have some clues about what increases your risk of getting shingles.
