  The bell has rang and it’s time for English class, but the teacher hasn’t come. There is a stir11 in the classroom. Some students are getting a little worried about their English teacher. She should have showed up for class by now. Some students wouldn’t be concerned, because they think she must have got stuck in traffic. And others believe she might have been detained12 by some emergencies. But they’re not so sure. The monitor says, ‘now, don’t jump to conclusions. I’m positive she’ll show up for class soon.’ After these words, the class calm down a little.
