She took off her hat and coat and put them on the hook14 on the wall. Then she went to her desk, took the cover off the computer, sat down and began to type. At half past twelve, Miss Green stopped work and went out to lunch with a friend at a restaurant. After lunch she returned to the office and worked until five o’clock. She got home at about a quarter to six. She went into the bath room, washed her hands and then went into the sitting-room15. She turned on the television and watched the six o’clock news. She ate a square meal and went out to cinema. That was a normal day in her life.
