A group of American senators observed the holiday in Moscow. The senators also urged Russia not to meddle4 in upcoming elections. Their visits come ahead of President Donald Trump's planned summit with Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

In Barcelona activists5 climbed a 197-foot statue of Christopher Columbia, and dressed him in an orange life fast. They want to draw attention to migrants and refugees who lose life trying to cross the Mediterranean6 Sea.
