President Donald Trump1 played golf and twitted Saturday from one of his namesake resorts in the run-up to his high-stakes meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump is spending a private weekend at one of his golf properties in Scotland.

The Israeli military carried out its largest daytime airstrike campaign in Gaza since the 2014 war as Hamas militants2 fired dozens of rockets into Israel, threatening to spark a wider conflagration3 after weeks of tensions along the volatile4 border.

Two French police motorcycles crashed during a demonstration6 in front of President Emmanuel Macron and other guests at the annual Bastille Day Parade on Saturday. The motorcyclists were part of a group tracing patterns on the Place De La Concorde in central Paris as part of it carefully choreographed7 performance.
