64. Looking at Peter's room

It was said that peter's room was always in a mess. In fact, it was the messest among the boys' rooms. However,it looked neat and in order when ever we got there, so we decided1 to use an unexpected2 way to find the truth. One day, we went to peter's room with a ladder. Before we knocked on the door, one of us stepped onto the ladder and had a look from the upper window, "what a mess". Peter's things were lying all over the room,on the chair,on the table, under the bed even on the floor. Peter was sitting on the ground, repairing his tape recorder while his friend was jumping up and down on his bed. As we knocked the door, peter cleared up the mess just by putting all the things under his bed. Peter was too ashamed3 to say a word after we entered his room and brought his trick to light. He promised to keep his room in order as much as possible after that.
