3. A wildfire ripped though parts of Haifa, one of Israel's largest cities, forcing tens of thousands people to evacuate5 their homes.  Authorities speculated the blaze may have been set by politically motivated arsonists6. 

4. This year's Vatican Christmas tree, a nearly 80-foot spruce pine from northern Italy went up in St.Peter square Thursday. The official unveiling along with this year's nativity set for December,9th.
