In Chinese traditional culture, Daoism is the philosophy that more focuses on environment. Daoism’s idea is that nature and human beings have to be in harmony. But the people like us or activists2 are also encouraged by Confucianism, the Confucian idea that every individual is responsible for the state of the world and therefore must get involved in society. It’s a little bit revolting, isn’t it?  As disgusting. This is the domestic3 sewage and industrial waste water mixed. Is this flowing into the Yangtze? That’s for sure. This whole area is the part of Yangtze river valley. Is this the price of China’s economic boom4? This is because there isn’t enough support of infrastructure5 to match the cities rapid development. Residential6 areas are expanding, but sewage system isn’t keeping up.
