 　　In 1884 Joseph and Jules Fuerst established in London an international trading company. It traded as Fuerst Brothers until 1957 when it was acquired by Mrs. Eileen Day Lawson. Trading thereafter as Fuerst Day Lawson the company prospered1 and expanded into many of the fields covered by the present Group.
